P&C Information

Welcome to the Dalyellup College Parents & Citizens’ Association Inc

Dalyellup College P&C is a voluntary organisation comprised of school and community members interested in the welfare of your school.

The reasons to join your P&C are many and varied.  Do you have some great ideas, enjoy working with others, eager to contribute, wish to become more involved, keen to make a difference?

Your involvement in the P&C is welcome; and all contributions are greatly appreciated.  The broader our membership the better we represent the school community.

The objects of a P&C association is:

  • to promote the interests of the school through cooperation between parents, teachers, students and members of the general community.
  • to assist in the provision of resources, facilities and amenities for the school; and
  • to foster community interest in educational matters.

Meetings

Our regular meetings are a forum for the discussion of relevant matters and topics pertaining to your school environment.

P&C meetings provide a great opportunity to meet other people, hear about what is going on within the school and to discuss how P&C funds could be distributed.  The Principal is an ex officio (by virtue of position) member of the P&C and reports to our meetings on school activities.  The P&C is an autonomous body to the school and is governed by its own Constitution.

P&C meetings are held on Monday evenings at 6.00pm in Weeks 3 and 7 of each term in the administration office.  The AGM is usually held in week 3 each year and is followed by a General Meeting.  All parents, staff and community members are welcome to attend meetings.  Membership to the P&C costs $1 for the year and entitles you to full voting rights.

Canteen

The school canteen is operated by the P&C and we employ the canteen staff required to perform the operational duties.  For further details about the canteen and how to place orders, please visit the canteen information page.  All canteen proceeds are used to benefit your school.

The Executive Committee is comprised of the President, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer and at least three other P&C members. Our Principal is an automatic member of our P&C Executive Committee.  The Executive Committee may meet in between general meetings of the P&C to deal with matters as required.
