A Vocational Education and Training (VET) program whilst as school allows you to learn about industry pathways and gain skills that are relevant to industry needs.  Success in your program can lead to pathways to immediate employment and further training or education such as university studies.<\/h3>\n

                                    Students can also complete School Based Traineeships and Apprenticeships<\/strong>, be on the job and get paid while training.<\/h3>\n

                                    A variety of certificate courses are also available to students through the <\/strong>VET in schools<\/strong> at <\/strong>South Regional TAFE (SRTAFE) RTO 52790, Health Science Hub (HSH) RTO 52806 and Bunbury Regional Trade Training Centre (BRTCC).<\/h3>\n<\/p>\n

                                    Workplace Learning<\/strong><\/h2>\n

                                    \n

                                    The Workplace Learning endorsed program provides an opportunity for a student to demonstrate, and develop increasing competence in, the core skills for work, often referred to as generic, transferable or employability skills.  A student learns to apply and adapt the workplace skills that are necessary to understand and carry out different types of work, and that play a key role in lifelong learning.<\/p>\n

                                    Developing competence in workplace skills assists an individual to gain employment, and in the longer term, to progress within the organisation or industry area in which they are employed, and to contribute successfully to the organisation\u2019s objectives and to the wider community.<\/p>\n

                                    The endorsed program is based on the skills, knowledge and understandings that underpin successful participation in work.  These skills are documented in the Core Skills<\/em> for Work Developmental Framework<\/em>, developed collaboratively by the Department of Industry and the Department of Education.  The Core Skills<\/em> for Work<\/em> encompass the Employability Skills outlined in the National Employability Skills Framework. <\/h3>\n<\/p>\n
